    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Heavy Maintenance Power Plant Tech 2 will be responsible for performing maintenance in the field and the shop and mainly GE, CFM, and Pratt & Whitney commercial aircraft engines. Maintenance on commercial aircraft engines, including engine stand maintenance and engine preservations, will also be required. Global travel on short notice is a requirement, and this includes after-hours, weekends, and holidays. (Other duties may be assigned).

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

    + Perform heavy maintenance on GE, CFM, and PW turbine engines around the world to the highest quality standards.

    + Gain knowledge on GES quality procedures per the Repair Station & Quality Manual (RSQM), including the FAA/EASA Part 145 regulations, requirements, and procedures.

    + Act in accordance with and meet the requirements of the RSQM, other applicable regulations, and company policies.

    + Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers in the shop or field.

    + Have a positive attitude, promote the business to internal and external customers, co-workers, or potential employees.

    + Read and interpret and understand OEM technical data, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, FAA Airworthiness Directives, and other specifications to determine the maintenance procedure, method of repairing and/or replacing malfunctioning

    + or damaged components.

    + Familiar with aircraft maintenance manuals (AMM) for multiple aircraft and engine configurations.

    + Remove, install and repair aircraft engines, parts, fan blades, engine mounts, and other items as required.

    + Perform accessory inventories and other inspections as needed.

    + Effectively utilize Quantum Control and JETRAXX systems within 30 days.

    + Approach work with the “can-do” spirit and attitude.

    + Professionally nteract with customers and provide excellent customer service when interfacing with customers in the shop or field.

    + Properly use torque wrenches, calibrated tools, and special tooling as required.

    + Able to travel globally for fieldwork when needed.

    + Weekend and holiday work may be required.

    + Operate borescope equipment efficiently.

    + Meet GES quality department inspector requirements and gain the ability to return to service on qualified jobs.

    + Lead multiple jobs and sign off 8130’s as required.

    SECONDARY DUTIES:

    2. Participate in proactive team efforts to achievedepartmental and company goals.

    3. Perform other duties as assigned. (Assistance in otherdepartments may be required.

    4. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing ofknowledge/skill.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Accountable to the Heavy Maintenance Manager.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    MINIMUM:

    1. High School diploma or equivalent.

    2. FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate (A&P)

    3. 2+ years as an HMXP Tech 1 with GES or 5 years external heavy maintenance work experience on commercial turbine aircraft engines.

    4. GE90, CF34, CFM56, LEAP, V2500, PW1000/1500G, PW2000/4000, RB211, and Trent heavy engine experience desired.

    5. Heavy maintenance experience on TAY, SPEY, PW300, JT15, PT6, PW100, and PW200 a plus.

    6. 2+ years of experience with heavy maintenance repairs, AD/SB compliance, engine “C” checks, LRU, and external component R&R, BSI, and inspections on all models.

    7. Intermediate to advanced user of Adobe DC & Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    8. Read, write and understand the English language.

    9. Ability to obtain a US Passport.

    10. Class C driver’s license.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Must be able to lift 85 lbs. unassisted.

    2. May be exposed to loud noise.

    3. Able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand for prolonged periods, climb steps, ladders, and/or service stands.

    4. Ability to talk, hear and smell.

    5. Reach/handle items, work with fingers and perceives attributes of object and materials.

    6. May need to work outside as necessary.

    7. Must be enrolled in the DOT-approved random drug and alcohol testing program.

    8. Normal or corrected hearing.

    9. May need to work in hot or cold weather conditions.

    10. Visual Acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected and must be able to distinguish color.
