+ This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Data Privacy and Governance product.
+ Responsible for providing technical leadership for design and implementation of software development, SaaS platforms, assigned data services and/or applications.
+ Key aspects which will differentiate this role are: possessing working knowledge of latest industry best practices and trends within data privacy, data management, web applications and privacy engineering(e.g. SQL/non-SQL, In-memory Cache, APIs, Micro services); cloud frameworks, content delivery network design, web services design, rules engine design, software optimization techniques, privacy enhancing frameworks and technologies, data management and information security.
What you'll do
Work with product and engineering management, engineers, and enterprise architectural teams to define technical strategy and requirements
+ Develop, drive and strategize technical solutions for data privacy and governance related initiatives and secures commitment from external and internal stakeholders.
+ Play the role of solution architect and lead engineer for all Privacy and Governance frameworks, platforms and capabilities buildout.
+ Create, design, and document technical vision, standards, policies, patterns, architectures, and align roadmaps for data management tools, privacy technology applications and privacy preserving technologies (systems/database administration, systems and network/cloud architecture, security administration, solutions development, data and technical engineering).
+ Design trust into the applications and data sources that collect, store, process and transmit Personal Information.
+ Drive consensus on technical approach, sets timelines, and leads cross-functional application teams from design through delivery.
+ Apply software engineering best industry practices to web applications and services.
+ Provide technical guidance, direction, and decisions to team developing custom and off-the-shelf applications and services.
+ Work with Application/Enterprise Architects to establish development and deployment standards aligned with enterprise standards and ensures adherence to technology platform decisions.
+ Build standards, best practices and patterns for teams across the Enterprise to adopt/adhere to data privacy and governance frameworks
+ Evangelize, collaborate, and implement frameworks across enterprise to promote Privacy by Design and data governance.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
+ 7 years in SQL, data engineering/management
+ 5 years of Java Development Environment (JDE) experience
+ 3 years Application Programming Interface (API) framework / REST development
+ 2 years in web services (mid-range) development
+ Demonstrated capability of mastering new technologies, and be able to quickly provide guidance and architecture standards on new platforms and initiatives to internal and external application teams
+ Strong presentation and communication skills, capable of presenting to technical and non-technical audience that can range from engineers to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
+ 3 years of solution architecture or technical lead experience
+ Understanding of implementation of privacy and data management technology software (e.g., OneTrust, Alation, MonteCarlo, Informatica or related)
+ Demonstrating the ability to oversee functional and technical implementation and platform adoption for all clients from start to finish.
+ Understanding of controls, industry standards and practices related to privacy and data protection (data anonymization, de-identification, minimization, pseudonymization etc.,).
+ Airline or travel industry related experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
+ Any privacy, data management, technology or architecture related certifications.
+ Experience in Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration (Github, Nexus, TDD, Automated regression testing).
+ Experience with hardware/software resource management, cloud framework implementation, micro-services, and Apache frameworks.
+ Experience in service optimizations for performance.
+ Ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, to be delivered in a successful and timely manner.
+ Demonstrated experience leading large scale projects, and well-rounded technical background in current privacy and data management tools and technologies.
