    Job Title: Enterprise Architect (SME)

     

    Primary Location: Reston, VA or Washington, DC

     

    Clearance: Top-Secret (TS) Clearance

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect SME with an active Top Secret clearance to design, build, implement, and maintain enterprise-class systems and processes aligned with mission-critical operations. The candidate will play a pivotal role in developing baseline and target architecture for production environments, ensuring the systems' stability, scalability, and security. This position requires strong expertise in cloud technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.

    Responsibilities:

    •    Design, develop, and maintain enterprise architecture in support of mission requirements.

    •    Define and implement baseline and target architectures for complex production environments.

    •    Ensure alignment of enterprise architecture standards and frameworks with overarching business and technology strategies.

    •    Evaluate current systems and proposed architectures to identify design gaps and provide recommendations for improvements.

    •    Promote the scalability, portability, interoperability, and security of system designs.

    •    Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure cohesive enterprise-wide solutions.

    •    Provide technical leadership on cloud integration strategies, leveraging AWS and Microsoft Azure.

    •    Create architectural models and documentation to guide implementation and system evolution.

    Required Qualifications:

    •    10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, or a related IT field.

    •    Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline. (Two years of additional field-related experience may substitute for education requirement.)

    •    Active Top Secret clearance (required).

    •    Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-class architectures.

    •    Demonstrated expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure Cloud environments.

    •    Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity best practices.

    •    Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    •    Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or similar.

    •    Experience supporting the federal government or Department of Defense (DoD) IT systems.

    •    Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, TOGAF, FEAF).

    •    Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
