Job Description

Insight Global is seeking one skilled Power BI Developer to support a financial services client in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working closely with business stakeholders, gathering requirements and translating them into BI solutions. This person will develop self-service BI solutions to enable business users with access to data. This person will design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, data models for reporting, define and implement data governance and compliance best practices and integrate PowerBI with various data sources including SQL, Azure Data Lake, and APIs. This person could be a BI Developer with great experience collaborating with stakeholders and translating data problems into BI solutions. This person could also be a hands-on business analyst working with BI or even a PowerBI consultant.

Skills and Requirements

7+ years of experience in Power BI development with strong expertise in dashboard creation and data modeling.

Experience meeting with business stakeholders, a large focus of this position is going to be gathering requirements and translating them into effect BI Solutions - large focus on enabling stakeholders to visualize and use data

Strong data visualization skills for UI/UX design experience

Strong SQL skills for querying and optimizing large datasets.

Advanced proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language).

Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices PL300, DP600, or DP700 certifications

Python or R advanced analytics experience

Experience with Databrick, Snowflake, Hadoop, or Fabric null
