Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for assisting the Tennis Director and Recreational Sports staff with the supervision and daily management of the Tennis Center, including facility operations, support personnel coordination, customer service, outreach, and student engagement to ensure smooth and efficient programming of the complex.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Responsible for assisting the Tennis Director and Rec Sports staff with supervision of day-to-day Tennis facility operations, including tennis court reservations, tournaments, and special events.
+ Assist the Tennis Director and Rec Sports staff with employee onboarding, mentoring and guiding student employees to ensure proper implementation of existing rules and guidelines.
+ Assist the Tennis Director and Rec Sports staff with facilitating meetings with Student Managers and Student Employees.
+ Assist the Tennis Director and Rec Sports staff with maintaining work schedules for student employees.
+ Assist the Tennis Director and Rec Sports staff monitor inventory/equipment and Tennis facility.
+ Maintain a safe and positive environment for Tennis Program participants by conducting walk through inspections of facilities and proactive supervision of activities.
+ Assist the Tennis Director and Rec Sports staff with implementation of emergency procedures to include CPR, evacuation of facility, handling of blood borne pathogens, as well as ensuring shelter and/or safe departure of members during severe weather. Participate in various community outreach projects.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
+ Education – Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
+ Experience - No experience required.
+ May NOT be currently an undergraduate student at Texas A&M International University.
Preferred Education and Experience
+ Prior experience in customer service.
+ Prior experience working in a university setting.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
+ Word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
+ Must possess effective public speaking skills.
+ Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Ability to:
+ Ability to provide strong leadership and mentoring for Student Managers, Student Employees and participants of Tennis Program activities.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses
+ Must obtain a CPR/AED certification within 60 days of employment.
Other Requirements
+ Position may require moving and lifting objects/materials, as necessary.
+ Temporary position, subject to funding and/or need.
+ Morning, evening, and weekend hours are required.
+ Position requires on campus, face-to-face interactions.
+ Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

Pay of Rate: $12.00/hour for up to 19 hours weekly
