    A wonderful opportunity exists for a new academic to support the following Health Professions program in the role of - Assistant Program Director – Anesthesiologist Assistant for our client university that operates nationally. Our client university prides itself on

    Responsibilities include some classroom teaching, some administration, developing faculty for this small fast-growing program and ensuring the continued growth and quality of this master's level program. Also and very importantly, ensure the students are receiving quality clinical instruction. Support is given to the accredited graduate program and the role, both by the Program Director, campus leadership and the senior faculty Leadership Team.

     

    The Assistant Program Director will assume the responsibilities of the Program Director whenever needed as you are a team to ensure student outcomes.

     

    The accreditor requires a master's degree in the discipline, Florida Licensure or the ability to have your licensure transferred, teaching experience of 2 years and at least 2 years in a leadership role either at the university level or in a clinical setting such as a hospital. Previous Assistant Program Director leadership experience would be ideal but if you are looking to take the next step in your academic career, which would be an Assistant Program Director, then please apply. We also encourage any academic leaders that wish to step down from their current role into an Assistant Program Director level role to apply also. A work life balance helps to ensure quality of life in Florida!

     

    This is a young small program on this campus but overall, in the university on all campuses that offers it, the program is extremely successful. Student outcomes are outstanding! This is an excellent role to showcase your leadership talent and academic capabilities.

    Compensation Range is:

    $175,000-$190,000, and is negotiable depending on experience, education and leadership experience

    Our client will cover the cost of transferring your license to Florida if needed

     

    Relocation assistance is also offered with other benefits such as paid time for clinical practices to keep your licensure current and skills sharp

    Candidates Qualifications Needed:

    + Previous Teaching experience in a Higher Education environment of clinical environment is ideal but not required. Our client has the bandwidth to train you. The Senior Leadership team is hand on to ensure your success.

    + Some academic leadership experience in a university setting or administrative leadership role is helpful but again not required. It is the heart of this clinical professional that is important, a belief system that student outcomes are so important to help all Americans to feel safe in the operating room.

    + Must be Anesthesiologist Assistant certified by the NCCAA or its successor.

    + Hold a graduate degree in education, administration, medicine, or the basic medical sciences.

    + Must have recent AA practice experience and current licensure that can be transferred to Florida if needed.

    + Genuine desire to see students succeed.

    + Enjoy community involvement and scholarly activities.

    + Ability to get state licensure in Florida if existing licensure is in another state.
