    Our client, a leading player in the financial services industry, is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Analytics department supporting various teams within the banking vertical. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, exceptional analytical skills, and proven project management expertise, which will align successfully with the organization.

    What's the Job?

     

    + Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

    + Oversee all data and analytics projects within the banking vertical, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.

    + Engage with executive and operational stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions.

    + Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the bank’s goals and objectives, maximizing the value of data assets.

    + Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of data initiatives and projects.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

    + A minimum of 5 years in data analytics or data science roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position within the banking or financial services industry.

    + Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, PySpark, and Power BI.

    + Strong understanding of data Lakehouse architecture, semantic models, star schema design, and integration methodologies.

    + Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
