Redeemer Health Care Center, a Cassia senior community, is hiring a dedicated Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services to join our team. In this role, you will assist the Food & Nutrition Services Director with leading the overall operations of the department. You will also ensure our residents receive a first-class dining experience through supervising and staffing exceptional dietary aides and cooks.

The ideal candidate is a ServSafe-certified leader with large-scale cooking experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Position Type: Full-Time

Wage Range: $30 to $34 / hour depending on experience

Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services responsibilities:

+ Assist in planning, organizing, and directing foodservice operations.

+ Help ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

+ Supervise daily food production and service activities.

+ Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.

+ Monitor budgets and help control food and labor costs.

+ Assist in scheduling and managing foodservice staff.

+ Train and evaluate kitchen and service staff.

+ Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management.

+ Promote safe work practices and staff adherence to food safety protocols.

Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services skills and requirements:

+ ServSafe certificate required or obtained upon hire.

+ Knowledge of local, state and federal food service regulations, preferred.

+ Large scale batch cooking experience required.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
