Job Summary
Branson seeks a general maintenance staff member who under the supervision of our Director of Campus Services, performs grounds and other forms of maintenance needs as well as gardening work around campus and on school-owned property; drives students and employees in school vehicles; performs related work as necessary and required. This person needs to embrace being part of a team and also listen and follow instructions from his/her supervisor(s). Hourly rate range is $24.00-$30.00.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ General maintenance activities that may include trade-like jobs (moving items, light construction, etc.)
+ Operate power riding mowers, push mowers, blowers, edgers and chain saws.
+ Operate various saws, drills, and other power tools.
+ Operate electric cart, dump truck, shuttles, and other school vehicles.
+ Rake, edge, weed, plant, fertilize and water lawns and other landscaped areas.
+ Service and make minor repairs to power mowers and other gardening and landscaping machinery, tools and other equipment.
+ Drive students and employees in school vehicles.
+ Use ladders when needed
+ Communicate clearly with supervisors
+ Lift and carry heavy objects up to 100lbs.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
+ Must have a current CA driver’s license and clear driving record.
+ Ability to speak Spanish and English a plus.
+ An ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of maintenance experience with trade skills preferred. If you do not have trade skills, be open to outside education, paid for by Branson, to build skills.
+ Must have a high level of integrity and honesty.
+ Must be interested and conversant in creating a culturally inclusive school.
+ Able to pass state and federal background check, fingerprinting, and provide a recent negative TB test or screening.
+ Able to perform all of the physical requirements of the position.
