TYPE OF POSITION: Military non-classified
SUMMARY: This position is assigned to the G3 Directorate – Operations, Idaho Army National Guard (IDARNG), functioning within the State of Idaho – Military Division. The primary purpose of this position is to furnish installation, operation and maintenance (IO&M) of Electronic Security System (ESS) equipment at designated facilities listed on the current Facilities Inventory and Stationing Plan (FISP) for the Idaho Army National Guard (IDARNG). Those facilities include Readiness Centers, AASF, JFHQ, AFRC, CSMS, MATES, UTES, ASP, FMS, OMS, USPFO Warehouses, CHP and other facilities as approved by the ARNG-ILI-F ESS Program Manager that has such federal system requirements. Incumbents provide program coordination in accordance with Appendix 4 of the Master Cooperative Agreement (MCA).

MILITARY DIVISION MANDATORY QUESTIONS:
(1) Except for minor traffic offenses, have you ever entered a plea of guilty, no contest, or had a withheld judgment to a felony offense? If YES, please explain on a separate paper and attach it to your application.
(2) Do you certify that I am a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or a Foreign National with authorization to work in the United States?
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
(1) Must be an enlisted member of the Idaho National Guard. Provide your military grade, job title, MOS/AFSC and unit of assignment.
(2) Must have and maintain a valid and unrestricted state issued driver’s license (from any state). Provide your driver’s license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license. (Do not provide a copy of your driver’s license.)
(3) Must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a favorable T1 Federal Background Investigation. If a selected candidate does not have a current favorable T1, as a condition of employment he/she must submit to the investigation process immediately upon hire/appointment. (At a minimum, a favorable suitability determination by the State Security Manager is required prior to appointment into this position.)
(4) Must understand and be willing to adhere to military protocol, operations, security, policy, and procedures.
(5) Must never have been convicted by civilian/military court, except for minor traffic violations or similar infractions.
(6) Must have graduated from or be willing to attend and complete the NGB ESS Certification Course in Little Rock, Arkansas.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Must have 24-months of specialized experience performing duties
(1) Knowledge of electronics; be thoroughly familiar with basic electronics and understand how systems and sub-systems interlink with each other (alarm systems, radios, telephone lines, telephones, and computers).
(2) Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques; understand how to diagnose the problem, locate the cause, and repair the faulty equipment independently.
(3) Knowledge of, and ability to install, operate and maintain Intrusion Detection Systems (EIDS), Access Control Systems (EPACS), IP Camera Systems (EIPC), Analog Camera Systems, Video Management Systems (EVMS) and Intercom Systems.
(4) Ability to use a digital multi meter and various other types of test equipment, to include special and common hand tools.
(5) Ability to design, modify, fabricate, and install electronic systems and special equipment.
(6) Ability to read, interpret and develop schematic and wiring diagrams.
(7) Ability to communicate effectively and instruct others on the systems maintained.
(8) Ability to use maintenance manual, technical publications, directives, and Standard Operating Procedures.
(9) Must possess skills associated with common office software packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook).
(10) Ability to communicate orally in the capacity of meetings, working groups and delivery of training.
(11) Skill in written communication as it relates to formal correspondence, developing plans or proposals, and writing formal reports.
