TYPE OF POSITION: Military non-classified
SUMMARY: This position is assigned to the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO), Idaho Army National Guard (IDARNG), functioning within the State of Idaho – Military Division. The primary purpose of this position is to provide building maintenance support of the state cooperative agreement military facilities located throughout the state. Incumbent must have complete and thorough knowledge of general construction practices in all trades. Must be able to accomplish technical inspections and perform maintenance and remodel projects using proper construction methods and complying with proper codes. A state vehicle and tools are furnished. Travel within the state is required.

MILITARY DIVISION MANDATORY QUESTIONS:
(1) Except for minor traffic offenses, have you ever entered a plea of guilty, no contest, or had a withheld judgment to a felony offense? If YES, please explain on a separate paper and attach it to your application.
(2) Do you certify that I am a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or a Foreign National with authorization to work in the United States?
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
(1) Must be an enlisted member of the Idaho National Guard. Provide your military grade, job title, MOS/AFSC and unit of assignment.
(2) Must have and maintain a valid and unrestricted state issued driver’s license (from any state). Provide your driver’s license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license. (Do not provide a copy of your driver’s license.)
(3) Must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a favorable T1 Federal Background Investigation. If a selected candidate does not have a current favorable T1, as a condition of employment he/she must submit to the investigation process immediately upon hire/appointment. (At a minimum, a favorable suitability determination by the State Security Manager is required prior to appointment into this position.)
(4) Selectee must be willing to establish permanent residence within 50 miles of the assigned ARNG Readiness Center (Armory) within 90-days of appointment start date.
(5) Must have or obtain within 30 days, and maintain a current, valid State of Idaho Pest Applicator Certification/license (must comply with DoD and Army Regulation requirements). To include License Categories: Ornamental Herbicide, Ornamental Insecticide/Fungicide, General Pest Control, Structural Destroying Pest Control, Vertebrate Pest Control, Rodent Control, Public Health Pest Control, Right-of-Way Herbicide, and others as may be required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Must have 36-months of specialized experience performing duties
(1) Skill in processing tenant work requests, work prioritization, parts request, ordering, purchasing, purchase card management, etc. Knowledge of work request tracking data management systems processing for tracking preventive maintenance tasks and repairs. Experience developing Scope of Work (SOW) for contracting repairs and services.
(2) Skill with tenant management, facilities management, communications, and work planning with tenant organizations.
(3) Demonstrated ability with HVAC and Mechanical repairs, service maintenance, troubleshooting, etc. Experience with preventive maintenance of major HVAC systems. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and programming direct digital controls.
(4) Demonstrated ability with plumbing repairs, service maintenance, troubleshooting, irrigation systems, commercial plumbing equipment, etc.
(5) Demonstrated ability with electrical repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, etc. Knowledge of electrical safety measures, inspections, and techniques.
(6) Skill with a variety of structural, wall repair, painting, doors, windows, interior and exterior general repairs. Knowledge and ability to make technical inspections of buildings for preventive maintenance, safety, and security. Experience interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.
(7) Skill with Pest Control activities. Knowledge of pest management techniques, application methods, repairs, record keeping, etc.
