    **Boeing Defense, Space & Security** (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an **Associate Quality Engineer** to join our team located in **Fairfax, VA** .

     

    This position's primary duties will include records management process inspections and test witnessing supporting multiple site Quality Management System functions. This will include supporting compartmented programs/projects with established third-party quality certification for Department of Defense customers. Additional duties will include testing and supporting internal/external third-party audits and program tasks. Successful candidates will have strong MS Office and computing skills and be experienced in quality processes and working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience TipQA/TipWeb and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.

    + Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

    + Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.

    + Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

    + Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.

    + Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

    + Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

    + Works under general supervision.

     

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

     

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

    + More than 1 year of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

    + Experience with Quality and/or Manufacturing processes and organizations

    + More than 3 years of Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + TipQA/TipWeb Experience

    + More than 1 year of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)

    + Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting design data, drawings, or specifications

    + Knowledge of working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

    + Experience analyzing data and generating metrics reports

    + More than 3 years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing support environment

    + IPC 610/620 J-Std Certification
