Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Evanston, Illinois. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting attorneys with legal and administrative tasks essential to the litigation process. If you have a strong background in legal document preparation, court filings, and organizational skills, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Responsibilities:

• Draft legal notices, prepare template answers, and assist in creating briefs.

• Format exhibits, compile records, and edit briefs for accuracy and compliance.

• Proofread legal documents to ensure proper grammar and adherence to standing orders.

• Prepare documents with appropriate letterheads or memo formats and transmit them as required.

• Communicate with courts regarding orders and coordinate with opposing counsel on service matters.

• Organize and maintain case file materials for easy access.

• Create exhibit binders and hearing notebooks to support attorneys during proceedings.

• Submit courtesy copies to the court and electronically file documents in state and federal courts.

• Arrange the scheduling of depositions, meetings, and other case-related activities.

• Manage both physical and digital case files, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for document preparation and editing.

• Experience with calendar management and scheduling.

• Strong skills in document management, including scanning and organizing files.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook for correspondence and administrative tasks.

• Knowledge of court procedures, including filing motions and electronic submissions.

• Ability to handle office functions such as photocopying, scanning, and managing calls.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.

• Previous experience in legal support or paralegal roles is preferred.
