Description

Our client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join their team in Somerset County, New Jersey. This position offers the opportunity to work on a long-term contract basis within a rapidly growing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with expertise in reconciliation processes and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to maintain integrity of financial records.

• Manage bank reconciliations to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies.

• Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Utilize SAP and other accounting software to streamline financial operations.

• Lead month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting-related inquiries and issues.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

• Maintain documentation and records to support audits and regulatory requirements.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related roles.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Experience with SAP or similar accounting software.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
