Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in McHenry, Illinois. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Assist in month-end close activities, including preparing financial statements and reports.

• Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure alignment across entities.

• Support the preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries as needed.

• Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to maintain financial data integrity.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and consistency in all financial tasks.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

• Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in QuickBooks and Encompass preferred.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment.

• Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
