Description We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team in Dravosburg, Pennsylvania. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate excels in detail-oriented tasks and has a solid background in payroll management, accounting, and human resources.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, deductions, and overall compensation.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to payroll transactions within the financial system.
• Review payroll data to identify discrepancies and implement timely resolutions.
• Ensure all payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Utilize payroll software, such as Paychex, to streamline payroll processing and reporting.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of employee information, including tax documents and direct deposit details.
• Collaborate with auditors during payroll-related audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Manage union payroll processes and ensure alignment with collective bargaining agreements.
• Communicate effectively with employees across departments to address payroll-related inquiries. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll management.
• Proven experience in handling union payroll processes.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in using Paychex for payroll management.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with employees and resolving payroll-related concerns.
