Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's team in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in pursuing a career in accounts payable and bring a keen eye for accuracy and organization. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within the legal industry while contributing to the efficiency of their financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and proper coding within the accounting system.

• Manage timely check runs and ensure all payments align with company policies.

• Reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records and identify discrepancies.

• Perform data entry with precision to support the accounts payable function.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve invoice discrepancies efficiently.

• Utilize basic spreadsheet tools to track and organize financial data.

• Maintain compliance with legal and financial regulations in all payable processes.

• Support month-end closing activities by preparing accounts payable reports.

• Assist in improving accounts payable procedures to enhance workflow efficiency.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

• A bachelor’s OR associate's degree is required.

• Strong skills in coding invoices, data entry, and invoice processing.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic spreadsheet management.

• Familiarity with account reconciliation and financial record-keeping.

• Demonstrated ability to handle check runs and manage payment schedules.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Interest in pursuing a long-term career in accounts payable
