IT Operations Systems Monitoring Analyst

Our work depends on a Systems Monitoring Analyst joining our team to evolve and maintain network infrastructure for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration.
HOW A IT System Monitoring ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
+ Monitoring and analyzing system performance, network integrity, and operational infrastructures
+ Identifying potential issues and implementing preventative measures
+ Develop, maintain, and provision operational reports and dashboards that provide status of operational activities, production issues and key operational metrics
+ Creates data models that depict trends in the organization and its business processes.
+ Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
+ Oversee and maintain network security
+ Compile and analyze data to identify trends and improve system performance
+ Perform regular system audits
+ Work closely with technical staff to ensure system efficiency
+ Document issues and solutions for future reference
+ Conducting regular inspections, maintenance, and testing of systems to ensure optimal performance
+ Generating and presenting reports on system performance, problems, and resolutions
+ Collaborating with other team members to identify and implement system improvements
+ Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users
+ Ensuring adherence to data management and security protocols
+ Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in system monitoring
+ Training staff in new technologies and systems monitoring procedures
Qualifications
+ 2-4 years of IT Operations support experience
+ Proven work experience working in IT Operations and/or infrastructure support
+ Experience working with industry leading infrastructure monitoring tools
+ Excellent knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure
+ Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
+ Understanding of system security and data backup
+ Strong problem-solving and communication skills
+ Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
+ BSc degree in Computer Science, IT or relevant field
+ Location: Albuquerque, NM or Germantown, MD

The likely salary range for this position is $72,509 - $83,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
