Description We are looking for an experienced Training Program Development Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive training initiatives. This role plays a vital part in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while supporting the development of skilled and capable staff. Based in San Antonio, Texas, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a regulated tissue banking environment.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement a robust training program for production staff, including onboarding, ongoing education, and competency-based assessments.
• Ensure all training initiatives align with applicable regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
• Develop and update training materials, including e-learning modules, classroom presentations, and hands-on training resources.
• Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and create targeted solutions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct training audits and ensure readiness for inspections by maintaining thorough documentation.
• Address training deficiencies by supporting corrective actions and implementing tailored education programs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using performance metrics and continuous improvement strategies.
• Oversee the onboarding and orientation process for new hires, with a focus on production roles.
• Stay informed about changes in regulations, standards, and best practices to keep training programs current. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a regulated environment, preferably within tissue banking or a similar field.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in creating and delivering training content to diverse audiences, including through e-learning platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and technical writing ability.
• Familiarity with applicable regulations and standards, such as FDA 21 CFR 1271 and cGMP requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
