    We are looking for an experienced HR Director to establish and lead the Human Resources function for a growing organization based in Burnsville, Minnesota. This role offers a unique opportunity to build the HR infrastructure from the ground up, partnering closely with the executive team to drive strategies that foster a high-performing and people-focused workplace. As the company undergoes significant expansion, including acquisitions and workforce integration, the HR Director will play a critical role in shaping organizational culture and aligning people strategies with business goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems to support organizational growth and ensure compliance.

    • Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategies with the company’s long-term objectives.

    • Lead initiatives to cultivate a positive, performance-driven workplace culture that prioritizes employee engagement and retention.

    • Design and oversee compensation, benefits, and performance management programs to attract and retain top talent.

    • Support workforce integration during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring alignment of policies and seamless cultural transitions.

    • Create programs for employee development, including training, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities.

    • Manage compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including safety standards and risk management.

    • Evaluate and enhance payroll processes, ensuring efficiency and alignment with HR functions.

    • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing expertise in workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development.

     

    An ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, or similar, but experience will be considered in lieu of degree. 5-10 years of experience in HR is a requirement, including experience working in an environment that has completed multiple acquisitions. This position will require hours outside of 8am-5pm on occasion.

     

    This role is fully onsite. Beginning pay for this position is $130-170k, depending on qualifications. Discretionary bonus potential is also included for this position, in addition to competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k with match, and PTO.

    Requirements • Proven experience in building HR functions and infrastructure from the ground up.

     

    • Expertise in supporting mergers and acquisitions, including workforce integration and policy alignment.

    • Strong background in compensation, benefits, and performance management frameworks.

    • Familiarity with HR systems such as HCM, HRMS, and HRIS platforms.

    • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with C-suite executives.

    • Knowledge of compliance standards and risk management practices.

    • Demonstrated ability to foster workplace culture and drive employee engagement.

    • Experience in industrial, blue-collar, or field-based work environments is highly preferred.
