Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proven ability to manage financial processes with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will contribute to the company's financial health by ensuring seamless management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with bank statements.

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correctly recorded.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

• Assist with month-end close procedures, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to manage financial data effectively.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

• Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Salary: up to 75K

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and journal entries.

• Experience with month-end close processes and account reconciliations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
