Description We are looking for a skilled Public Staff Tax Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Leesburg, Georgia. In this role, you will collaborate with clients to address tax-related matters, conduct in-depth tax research, and provide accurate preparation of tax filings. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals at various experience levels, from those just starting out to highly experienced experts.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely tax filings for individual and business clients.

• Conduct detailed research on tax regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for client benefit.

• Collaborate with clients to address inquiries and respond to tax agency communications.

• Utilize accounting software systems such as Ultra Tax and Thomson Reuters to streamline tax preparation processes.

• Assist with entity formation and provide guidance on compliance requirements.

• Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and adherence to auditing standards.

• Support the team with complex tax scenarios and provide solutions to challenging tax issues.

• Contribute to the development of efficient workflows within the tax firm.

• Stay updated on relevant tax laws and industry trends to enhance service offerings.

• Work closely with team members to maintain high-quality service delivery. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Ultra Tax, Thomson Reuters, CaseWare, and CCH ProSystem Fx.

• Strong understanding of tax preparation processes and compliance requirements.

• Experience with financial statement analysis and auditing practices.

• Knowledge of entity formation and related tax implications.

• Ability to conduct thorough tax research and interpret complex tax laws.

• Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate results.

• Flexibility to adapt to varying levels of experience within the team.
