Robert Half is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our clients Legal and Business Affairs team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing legal operations, supporting corporate compliance, and assisting with a variety of legal matters. The ideal candidate has strong experience in multiple areas of law, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

This is a contract-to-hire position with opportunities for growth within the team. The role offers a competitive salary and flexibility around location, although East Coast candidates are strongly preferred

Job Title: Corporate Paralegal

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Salary Range: $30+ hour

Responsibilities

+ Legal Operations:

+ Organize and maintain document storage solutions and filing systems.

+ Coordinate workflows for document signature and approvals.

+ Manage project milestones and project workflow tracking.

+ Collect necessary information and maintain well-organized records.

+ Communication:

+ Draft professional internal and external communications on behalf of the legal team.

+ Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with company objectives.

+ Area-Specific Legal Support:

+ Copyright: Assist with copyright inquiries and matters, particularly related to music licensing.

+ Trademark: Oversee trademark portfolio management, including filings, renewals, and addressing potential infringements.

+ Contracts: Support contract drafting, reviewing, and compliance monitoring.

+ Litigation: Manage responses to subpoenas duces tecum and other litigation support tasks.

+ Privacy: Assist in privacy law compliance efforts and related policies.

+ Corporate Management & Compliance: Help ensure adherence to corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Paralegal certification, bachelor's degree in legal studies, or equivalent experience.

+ 2-5 years of relevant paralegal experience, with a preference for corporate and intellectual property law.

+ Familiarity with copyright, trademark, contracts, privacy, and litigation processes.

+ Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Familiarity with legal technology tools (e.g., eDiscovery, eFiling, document management software) is a plus.
