Job Opportunity: Material Coordinator
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contingent
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.
Overtime may be required based on weekly production line needs.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Material Coordinator to join the John Deere Dubuque Works team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the timely procurement, delivery, and flow of materials for production departments. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve shortages, audit inventory, and ensure uninterrupted operations through accurate material handling and effective communication.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with teams and recommend solutions to material availability gaps
• Support production operators by identifying and resolving material shortages
• Audit materials and ensure inventory accuracy
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and expedite parts to maintain production flow
• Analyze and act on critical shortage reports to ensure part availability
• Implement engineering release outputs and manage changes in material requirements
• Handle deviation management and material adjustments

Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience in supply management or manufacturing
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to analyze information and make sound business decisions
• Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
What would make you stand out:
• Two or more years of experience in supply management or manufacturing
• Hands-on material flow experience and adaptability in dynamic environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task
• Proficiency in SAP and basic data analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Business Management, Information Technology, or Engineering discipline — or 2–3 years of equivalent related work experience
