    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Olivehurst, California. This is a Contract position with a potential to convert long term where you will play a key role in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, invoice handling, and payment coordination.     Responsibilities:

    • Process accounts receivable tasks, including light payment application and reconciliation.

    • Handle accounts payable operations, managing up to 30 invoices daily and ensuring proper routing for review and payment.

    • Provide backup support to maintain workflow consistency during team member absences.

    • Facilitate procurement activities, including brokerage tasks for the parent company.

    • Process purchase orders and associated invoices efficiently.

    • Coordinate wire payments and checks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    • Utilize accounting software such as Sage300 and NutWare to manage inventory and financial data.

     

    Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

     

    • Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

    • Strong skills in invoicing and billing procedures.

    • Experience with account reconciliation and data entry.

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.

    • Knowledge of Sage300 or similar accounting software is preferred.

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
