Description We are looking for an experienced Probate Attorney to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Bannockburn, Illinois. This role involves representing clients in probate matters, handling legal documentation, and interacting directly with judges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate law, excellent courtroom presentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in probate court, presenting cases and legal documents to judges.

• Travel to the Chicago courthouse as necessary for hearings and legal proceedings.

• Handle the administrative process of opening and closing estates, ensuring all legal requirements are met.

• Obtain court orders and letters of office from the appropriate judicial authorities.

• Work collaboratively with legal teams to prepare and file necessary probate documents.

• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all legal filings and documentation.

• Utilize legal software and tools such as Adobe Acrobat, case management systems, and document management platforms.

• Maintain clear and precise communication with clients, court officials, and team members.

• Stay up-to-date with changes in probate law and related legal practices.

• Manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and client expectations. Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in probate or estate law, demonstrating attention to detail.

• Proficiency with legal tools such as Adobe Acrobat, case management software, and document management systems.

• Strong knowledge of estate administration processes and legal documentation.

• Excellent courtroom presentation and public speaking skills.

• Ability to handle civil litigation, complaints, and claim administration efficiently.

• Familiarity with briefing and legal research processes.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• A law degree and active bar membership in the state of Illinois.
