    Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. This is a PE Backed entity and this role is highly visible and

     

    + Highly visible role reporting to the VP/Corporate Controller and will work in the same office as the CFO and CEO

    + This PE backed organization is highly acquisitive and will be focused on expanding nationally and this will give you exposure to the M& A side of the equation from an accounting standpoint

    + Company is financially stable - $100M+ in revenue and well capitalized

    Overview of Job Responsibilities:

    Financial Reporting and Analysis

     

    + Develop periodic financial reports, analyzing variances and trends to offer actionable insights to management teams.

    + Partner with colleagues in forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow projections.

     

    Regulatory Compliance and Controls

     

    + Ensure all financial transactions adhere to GAAP.

    + Strengthen internal controls by following established financial policies and procedures.

     

    Process Optimization

     

    + Identify opportunities to enhance workflows and increase efficiency through automation solutions.

    + Participate in initiatives such as system upgrades or process redesign to improve organizational financial operations.

     

    General Ledger Oversight

     

    + Accurately record and classify financial transactions by preparing and posting journal entries.

    + Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts, reviewing and resolving any variances promptly.

     

    Period-End Close Processes

     

    + Assist in month-end activities by reconciling balance sheets and analyzing variances in income statements.

    + Support year-end audit preparation, including organizing relevant documentation and addressing auditor questions.

     

    Collaborative Engagement

     

    + Work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and administrative departments to gather, verify, and clarify financial data.

    + Provide accounting support and insights to various teams to align with organizational objectives.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field is required.

    + Progress toward CPA certification or CPA designation is a plus.

    + 1–3+ years of accounting experience, with preference given to candidates with exposure to public accounting.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

    • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare sector or public accounting.

    • Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close processes.

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

    • Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
