Job Summary

Transports patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.

Essential Functions

* Assigns personnel for proper coverage of daily Transport operations.

* Monitors requests made through Patient Tracking system.

* Provides leadership and guidance to departmental personnel.

* Participates in peer interviews and hiring of Transport staff.

* Assists in conducting regularly scheduled staff meetings/ in-services

* Ensures that quality and safety standards are met.

* Assists in maintaining/clearing Transport supplies and equipment.

* Makes corrections to payroll through Kronos system.

* Assists transport personnel to complete assignments when needed.

* Completes rounds in all nursing areas several times per day.

* Monitors/audits all rental equipment.

* Maintains integrity of durable medical equipment (DME).Performs other job duties assigned.

Minimum Education

* High School diploma or equivalent required

Licenses/Certifications

* Basic Life Support (BLS) required
