    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a results-oriented Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead high-impact initiatives that drive Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance across our client"s aerospace manufacturing operations in Indianapolis. This role plays a critical part in advancing our culture of operational excellence through the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven problem solver with strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced production environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Process Improvement & DMAIC Execution: Lead continuous improvement projects using DMAIC to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and optimize cost and quality outcomes.

    * Data Analysis & Root Cause Investigation: Analyze operational performance data; conduct structured root cause analysis using 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, FMEA, and statistical tools.

    * KPI Tracking & Dashboarding: Develop, maintain, and report on key performance indicators related to QCD, using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Minitab.

    * Process Documentation & Standardization: Create and maintain clear SOPs, process maps, and work instructions to support process control and repeatability.

    * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to align improvement initiatives with business goals.

    * Training & Cultural Enablement: Deliver training and coaching on Lean Six Sigma tools and foster a sustainable culture of continuous improvement across the site.

    * Project Closure Reporting: Document lessons learned, report measurable outcomes, and define control plans to sustain improvements.

    Required Qualifications:

    * Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field

    * Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or process improvement roles

    * Six Sigma Green Belt

    * Strong working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies

    * Hands-on experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, SAP), and standard work development

    * Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, or other aerospace quality systems

    * Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and driving measurable operational improvements

    * U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work

    Preferred Qualifications:

    * Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, Power BI)

    * Experience with MES and ERP systems (SAP preferred)

    * Knowledge of regulatory compliance in aerospace manufacturing

    * Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification

    * Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent)

    * Experience with advanced Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)

Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $40.00-60.00 per hour. Guidelines vary based on many factors including but not limited to education, qualifications, experience, discipline, geographic location, market, and business considerations.
