    Description

    Yearly Salary:$70,000-$80,000 (based on experience)

     

    Shift: 50 hours a week, additional coverage when needed

     

    Job purpose

     

    Ensure production requirements are met, and the work environment is stable, safe, and healthy. The role of site supervisor is to manage staff, minimize wasted capacity and overtime, manage onsite equipment and meet production goals.

     

    Duties and responsibilities

     

    + Supervises Onsite Drivers. running a safe, injury/accident free, equipment damage free workplace, (OSHA compliant).

    + Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.

    + Enforce correct procedures for loading, unloading, and tipping.

    + Manage staff levels and weekly hours to minimize overtime and capacity.

    + Disciplinary enforcement/accountability with guidance from Terminal Manager.

    + Regular reviews with Terminal Manager/customer regarding performance and production.

    + Evaluate onsite drivers’ consistent performance in collaboration with Terminal manager.

    + Daily equipment tracking of units onsite; ensure DVIR compliance. ​​​​​​

    + Work alongside team members, producing and supporting shift production, and observe, report, and coach team members on performance.

    + Knowledgeable and supports Safety throughout worksite collaboratively with Safety Director and/or Safety Team.

    + Determines need and schedules Training for all On-Site Employees

    + Thorough understanding of FMCSA/DOT rules & regulations>self and staff Compliance

    + Performs FMCSA required Pre- & Post Trip Inspections, and audits equipment onsite

    + Safely refuels vehicle, as necessary.

    + Ensure employee utilization of correct PPE for all situations and Customer requirements.

    + Understands & preserves Compliance and Safety – attending mandated company training monthly.

    + Safety sensitive position ​​​​​​

    + Coordinate with our shop and shuttle equipment to local repair vendors and pick up equipment when ready.

    + Maintain truck, yard, and office cleanliness and organization.

    Qualifications

    Qualif i c ations

     

    + High School Diploma required.

    + Valid Class A CDL.

    + Prior supervisory experience required.

    + Proficiency at driving, maneuvering, and positioning CMV in various loading, unloading, and parking scenarios.

    + Successful completion of FMCSA physical requirements for CMV drivers

    + Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug testing; understanding and adherence to the FMCSA drug and alcohol testing requirements.

    + 3 years Equipment Operator Experience

    + Ability to learn/utilize software where necessary

    + Written and spoken communication skills

    + Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    + Confidence to thrive under pressure, strong leadership skills.

    + Professional demeanor and attitude.

     

    Physi cal requirements

     

    + Ability to lift, pull and push up to 75lbs

    + Travel to the site, and off-site locations as required.

    + Safety equipment required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

    + Hazards associated with trade.

    + Work both indoors and outdoors.

    + Ability to work within varying weather conditions (cold/heat).
