    Maintenance technicians install, maintain, adjust, troubleshoot, service and repair all manner of machinery, equipment and support equipment used in the production process both mechanical and electrical.

     

    + Adhering to safety regulations and procedures, including using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures

    + Following preventive maintenance programs and procedures to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and systems .

    + Diagnosis and Repair systems , machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate mechanically and/ or electrically.

    + Installing new or upgraded equipment to enhance safety and productivity.

    + Troubleshoot AC drives, Siemens PLCS, motors , and conveyor belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions.

    + Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.

    OTHER FUNCTIONS

    + Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to solve problems.

    + Assist in maintaining supply room inventory and utilization of correct inventory check out methods.

    + Keep all work areas neat and clean.

    + Other duties as the manager deems necessary.

    + Maintain clean work environment .

    EQUIPMENT USED

    + Tools used range from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    + Varying degrees of heat and cold ranging from minor to extreme.

    + Working conditions will be inside and outside of the facility .

    + Extreme dust and dirt areas.

    + Heights up to 60ft.

    PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS :

    + Ability to routinely lift 50-75 lbs.

    + Duties include considerable climbing, crawling, bending, and standing .

    + Must be able to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    + Must be able to combine pieces of information to form a general conclusion.

    + Needs the ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Two-year vocational school preferable

    + 3 to 5 years' job experience.

    KEY COMPETENCIES :

    + Needs good knowledge of PLCs and their operation

    + Needs good communication skills, written and oral.

    + Needs to possess good organizational skills.

    + Needs to have good interpersonal skills.

    + Needs to be detailed oriented, and self-motivated .
