Maintenance Technician III

This position qualifies for 100% paid employee Anthem medical, dental and vision insurance.

Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of Center facility, grounds and systems. Supervises maintenance staff in the absence of the Facility Manager/Supervisor.

o Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.o Performs repair and preventive maintenance to the facility, grounds and systems.o Inspects the work of other maintenance personnel.o Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.o Researches and recommends purchase of replacement equipment as needed.o May be asked to oversee the training activities of students assigned to the maintenance area.o May be asked to oversee the activities and quality of performance of outside contractors performing repairs and/or replacement of equipment.o Conducts periodic inspections of building systems and equipment to ensure working quality.o Conducts inspections and maintains code and safety requirements.o Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.o Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties.o Provides quality services for students and ensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement of requisite services.o Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.o Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2 years (minimum) of HVAC systems and controls experience • Technical, vocational or OJT in HVAC trade • Ability to physically perform required work; for example, lift 50 lbs and climb ladders • EPA Certification is required for purchasing and/or handling refrigerants
