Spirit AeroSystems designs and builds aerostructures for both commercial and defense customers. With headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, Spirit operates sites in the U.S., U.K., France and Malaysia. Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

+ Analyze and optimize methods, equipment, facilities, and labor to ensure efficient use of resources and meet production goals

+ Evaluate capacity, processes, and products; recommend and implement improvements to support operational effectiveness

+ Assess the impact of process changes on budgets; develop labor standards and maintain accurate performance and cost data

+ Develop shop schedules and capacity plans; manage layout planning and implementation of manufacturing processes

+ Present performance data to manufacturing leadership; collaborate with cross-functional teams and tooling to align resources

+ Apply technical principles independently within established guidelines, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) with 2-4 years of experience or Master’s with 0-2 years

+ Experience with shop floor planning, including build plan and sequenced manufacturing schedules

+ Proficient in using MRP systems and managing project tasks independently across multiple workflows

+ Skilled in facilitating meetings and presenting data clearly to various stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred

+ 3+ years of relevant experience

+ Aerospace or production control experience strongly preferred

+ Proficient in SAP and other systems; tech-savvy with strong skills in Microsoft suite

+ Experience developing labor hour and overtime plans
