**VCA Abbott Animal Hospital** is hiring an experienced and determined **Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor** to help oversee clinic operations and lead our team of Veterinary Technicians, and Veterinary Assistants

About the Role
As Veterinary Technician Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
+ Directing work flow on the floor
+ Cultivate an engaging work environment and maintain our strong hospital culture
+ Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
+ Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates
+ Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills
+ Conduct staff meetings
+ Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
+ Mentoring technicians within the department
+ Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner
+ Refining and implementing protocols
+ Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
Being a Technician Supervisor means you are a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
Having mastered the entire range of vet tech skills yourself, you are a role model for the team. You will work alongside our Veterinarians, Hospital Manager, and Assistant Manager to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning environment.
Qualifications:
+ Credentialed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT (FL CVT Preferred)
+ 5+ years of clinical experience
+ Team leadership experience
+ Passion for Veterinary Medicine
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
The starting compensation is $27 / hour for a credentialed veterinary technician
