    Senior Tax Accountant

    Job Description:

At present, we have an excellent tax opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant. This tax position will play a significant role in the area of indirect taxation (e.g., sales/property tax compliance, tax planning, tax audit defense). _This position is a part of our hybrid workplace which includes both on-site engagement, as well as off-site work._

    What You Will Be Doing:

    + Work as part of a team to collect, analyze and review North America tax information in preparation of various sales tax and property tax filings for US and Canada.

    + Assist with the analysis and review of various tax accounts as well as with the research of tax issues and tax positions in order to advise management on various tax matters.

    + Assist with maintaining tax systems, tax files, and tax work-papers to comply with internal and external tax reporting guidelines.

    + Assist with tracking, responding and managing tax regulatory audit inquiries.

    + Aid with drafting timely responses to questions and issues generated by or impacting business operations.

    + Cultivate working relationships across functional areas to encourage two-way dialogue on any potential tax consequences related to contemplated business activities or transactions.

    + A consummate tax professional who demonstrates intellectual curiosity and passion for learning as much as possible about the company and industry.

    + Comfortable/effective working with diverse group of people (outside of the tax area) to achieve common objectives.

    + Demonstrates potential for advancement, strong oral presentation skills when dealing with senior management.

    + Typically requires 3–7 years of related experience with a 4-year degree or equivalent work experience.

    _Technical Skills/Knowledge_

    + Working knowledge of processes for reporting, collecting, and paying sales/property taxes

    + Proficiency in MS Office applications

    + Working knowledge of electronic accounting and tax systems (e.g., Oracle)

    + Experience with Vertex Indirect Tax O Series a plus

    _Process Management Skills_

    + Capable of sorting through activities and focusing upon those with biggest impact.

    + Resourceful/innovative/creative—looks for better ways to do things

    + Demonstrate strong administrative skills to be certain that all tax reporting and payment deadlines are met

    + Able to present technical tax data in a comprehensible manner

    + Strong organization skills, detail-oriented and capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking.

    Work Arrangement:

    Hybrid: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday required office days for Dry Creek/Panorama Office sites; Monday, Friday-work from home.

    Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

    $77,000.00 - $110,000.00

     

    Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
