Maintenance Mechanic

Responsible for the completion of all maintenance activities in the Canning Room area.

Responsibilities:

+ Assist senior mechanics in the completion of all assigned phases of mechanical work.

+ Keep records up to date.

+ Troubleshoot machines or equipment to detect malfunctions.

+ Assist in the installation of machines and equipment.

+ Perform routine maintenance work.

+ Cut, form, and assemble parts to construct machinery and equipment.

+ Repair machine guarding.

+ Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.

+ Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

+ Oil and grease equipment as needed.

+ Make adjustments/repairs to conveyors and piping.

+ May be required to run production equipment to relieve other personnel for breaks or fill in as needed.

+ Observe all Company work, safety and GMP policies.

+ Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications:

+ Candidate should have basic mechanical aptitude.

+ Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.

+ Ability to work in a team environment.

+ Ability to drive forklift or complete Seneca Foods Forklift training.

+ Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

+ Requires between three (3) months and one (1) year of experience.

Competitive pay and full benefits

**Pay Details:** $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
