    Junior Set-up Mechanic

     

    Hours: Monday-Thursday | 5:00 am till 3:30 pm

     

    Pay Rate: $18-20/hr. based off experience

    Junior Set-up Mechanic Job Duties:

    + Assist with the smooth running of company’s manufacturing and packaging lines

    + Ensure all safety guards are installed

    + Recognize types and location of all the equipment on the packaging floor

    + Disassemble, wash down, and assemble back the fillers on all packaging lines

    + Assist other mechanics on disassembling, washing, down and assembling back the filler equipment on the powder line

    + Ensure parts are taken apart properly, repaired, and installed back without damage. Report any damage parts to management

    + Keep the shop clean and organized

    + Show a desire and willingness to learn

    + Complete all required training activities

    + Demonstrate a commitment to the organization by maintaining regular, on-site attendance, act in a reliable manner

    + Additional duties as assigned

    Junior Set-up Mechanic Job Requirements:

    + Experience working with packaging line machinery

    + Able to follow instructions from higher levels to perform requested work or support

    + Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual and adapt to changes in work duties

    + Follow OSHA Manufacturing Safety Awareness and precautions

    + Comprehend and adhere to all pertinent Health and Safety Regulations, Policies, and Procedures

    + Ability to handle 20-25 lbs. on a frequent basis from floor to chest high

    + Able to stand for extended periods of time

    + Ability to lift, push, and pull product

    + Okay with working around powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanut, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish)
