    HR Generalist Opportunity in the Baltimore Area!

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist to join our team and serve as the HR point of contact at our facility. The role involves providing organizational support to management to achieve operational excellence and maintaining a strong HR presence on the plant floor. The HR Generalist will ensure that our company culture flourishes and address any issues related to cultural imperatives.

    Responsibilities

    + Serve as the HR point of contact at the facility, providing organizational support to management to achieve operational excellence.

    + Maintain a strong HR presence on the plant floor.

    + Deliver a consistent team member experience and ensure company culture flourishes.

    + Assist in developing the Plant Leadership Team (PLT) through teambuilding activities, organizational development, and succession planning.

    + Engage in proactive recruiting activities for both salary and hourly positions.

    + Provide counseling and resource assistance in policy, benefits, salary administration, training/development, and performance issues.

    + Assist the plant manager and PLT with leadership skills development.

    + Monitor and coordinate compliance activities with local/state governmental and regulatory bodies.

    + Maintain accurate and complete employee files and HR-related information for salary and hourly employees.

    + Responsible for attendance and turnover tracking.

    + Ensure the plant remains staffed according to budget.

    + Record and track exit interview data to provide insights into trends.

    + Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies and programs.

    + Support employee relations issues or investigations.

    + Ensure regulatory compliance including FMLA, ADA, EEO/Affirmative Action, and other laws.

    + Coordinate and complete goal setting and performance appraisals for salaried and hourly personnel.

    + Participate in local wage and benefits surveys and report any deficiencies.

    + Support and represent the company as a union-free environment.

    + Provide a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping.

    + Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

    + Represent the company in community relations activities.

    + Interview, hire, train employees; plan, assign, direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

    + Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience in HR roles such as HR Coordinator, Generalist, or Business Partner.

    + Experience in manufacturing or production-related environments.

    + Proficient in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

    + Excellent communication skills.

    + Knowledge and understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.

    + Proven track record in creating and maintaining team member communication strategies and engagement plans.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Undergraduate degree in human resources or a related discipline.

    + Experience in recruiting and onboarding.

    + Strong administrative support and HR administration skills.

    + Ability to create engagement events and collect team member feedback.

    + Experience with employee relations.

    Work Environment

    This position requires full-time on-site work from Monday to Friday in Essex. The work hours are flexible, with options to work from 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm. Training for a week in NJ is available but not mandatory.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $40.87/hr.
