    Job Title: Chiller Technician

    Job Description

    As a Chiller Technician, you will diagnose and troubleshoot problems with HVAC equipment, repair or replace defective components, and carry out preventative maintenance tasks and inspections. You will ensure the proper functioning of HVAC systems while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues.

    + Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.

    + Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on HVAC equipment.

    + Transport materials and tools to job sites and maintain proper accounting of tools.

    + Keep work area organized, clean, and safe, disposing of all trash and debris.

    + Observe all safety regulations and wear issued safety equipment.

    + Lift equipment weighing over 75 lbs as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in HVAC systems, maintenance, and repair.

    + Experience with refrigeration and cooling systems.

    + EPA Universal Certification.

    + Knowledge of chiller systems, especially commercial chillers of 1,000 tons.

    + Fluent English communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Chiller experience and preventative maintenance expertise.

    + Prior experience troubleshooting HVAC systems.

    + Understanding of refrigeration principles and technical components such as motors, loop systems, and water treatment.

    + Experience with cooling towers and chillers is a plus.

    + Familiarity with tools used for equipment maintenance and repair.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers, technicians, and managers.

    + Reliable transportation.

    Work Environment

     

    You will be working in a service and maintenance role across Dade and Broward counties. The company provides a vehicle, and while basic tools such as hammers, pliers, and screwdrivers are required, additional necessary tools are provided.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, Florida.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
