    Job Title: Master Electrician

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Master Electrician to perform electrical maintenance on plant utilities and processes. The role involves installing and repairing electrical systems and components according to codes and schematics. You will work independently, solve complex issues, and provide guidance to apprentice-level peers.

    Responsibilities

    + Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, install, and repair electrical parts, equipment, and systems.

    + Install or replace circuit breakers, fuses, and variable speed drives.

    + Work on electrical equipment such as VFDs, contactors, overload devices, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring.

    + Safely handle multi-phase, high and low voltage systems.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control networks, instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and controls.

    + Read and interpret technical procedures, schematics, manuals, and work orders.

    + Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, distribution systems, motor control centers, and motors.

    + Assist operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

    + Communicate with departments, management, and employees about any issues affecting production efficiency.

    + Stay updated on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques.

    + Identify process improvement opportunities with a continuous improvement mindset.

    + Anticipate parts requirements, follow purchasing procedures, and acquire parts in advance.

    + Perform and assist in maintenance activities per national, state, and local codes.

    + Use a computerized maintenance management system (e.g., SAP) for maintenance records.

    + Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance

    + Ability to read blueprints and schematics

    + Experience with industrial electrical systems

    + Licensed Master Electrician

    + Wiring and conduit installation

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

    + Experience with automation system maintenance

    Work Environment

     

    This position is located in a milk plant, a food manufacturing environment with stringent food quality regulations. The facility is highly sanitary, and production staff are required to wear hairnets and gowns. The role is scheduled for the first shift, Monday through Friday, with a start time between 6AM and 7:30AM.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $114400.00/yr.
