Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor who will be trained by the current supervisor to familiarize themselves with our equipment. This role offers a clear progression path to become a Maintenance Manager within 2-3 years. The candidate must be comfortable with hands-on tasks and will eventually take on responsibilities such as hiring, attendance and performance management, and handling reports.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot and repair mixers, blenders, grinding mills.

+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including bearings, shafts, sprockets, and chains.

+ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.

+ Conduct 480v troubleshooting and repair using a voltmeter.

+ Change out motors and test fuses and 480v electrical systems.

+ Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and valves.

+ Make improvements to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

+ Ensure information in the CMMS and work order system is accurate.

Essential Skills

+ Troubleshooting and maintenance supervision.

+ Preventive maintenance.

+ Maintenance management.

+ Blueprint and schematic understanding.

+ CMMS proficiency.

+ Hydraulics knowledge.

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance supervisor or lead.

+ Hands-on repair and maintenance of industrial equipment.

+ 480v troubleshooting experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working on mixers and blenders is a plus.

Work Environment

The position is within a production environment, working alongside a maintenance team comprising three technicians, the current maintenance supervisor, and the director of maintenance. The role operates on the 1st shift from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of extended hours to complete tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

Benefits will start 30 days on 1st of month after hire

2 weeks vacation but negotiable

401k match up to 1,500k in a calendar year

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in West Chicago,IL.
