Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely prescriptions. You will be responsible for processing and filling prescription orders, maintaining drug inventory, and assisting with the packing and shipping of prescriptions. Your work will support the Pharmacist in providing exceptional care to patients.
Responsibilities
+ Process and fill prescription orders in preparation for Pharmacist verification.
+ Pack and ship completed prescription orders to patients.
+ Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units.
+ Replenish workstation supplies for filling prescriptions as needed, including vials, caps, and labels.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Kansas.
+ Must be 18 years old.
+ Experience in prescription data entry.
+ Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks.
+ Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ National Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred but not required).
+ Experience navigating through Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment
This full-time position operates from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, with optional overtime starting at 6:30 am or 7 am during the week. The role is set in a closed-door pharmacy with a team of 55 people. You will enjoy a laid-back environment where music is played aloud, and comfortable attire is encouraged. The team enjoys a one-hour lunch break and two 15-minute breaks throughout the day. The work involves being on your feet for most of the day, particularly in the fulfillment area.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
