About the role
Overall role purpose
The role exists to support member firms to focus on quality, global capabilities and an inclusive culture in line with the Go Beyond network strategy 2025, specifically in relation to sustainability assurance services.
The role is to work directly on the strategic priority to support the provision of network-wide sustainability services.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to understand and develop skills to work in a global organisation. It offers the candidate a unique opportunity to learn and gain from practical experience of working with global leaders and gain insights on their thought processes and leadership skills. This role provides an opportunity to use your unique knowledge related to sustainability for the benefit of all member firms in collaborative project with member firms from around the world.
The role is virtual, where we are flexible on your location. That means you can work where you live, but you are required to perform the duties and responsibilities of your role on a remote basis across various time zones for project and tasks designated to you. This can include calls that might be early or late in your own time zone.
Main responsibilities
+ Development of the global methodology for both limited and reasonable assurance sustainability engagements using ISAE 3000 and ISSA 5000.
+ Development of resources to assist with the effective and efficient delivery of sustainability assurance engagements such as;
+ Playbooks on CSRD, GHG and ISSB engagements
+ Quick Reference Guides
+ Development of learning programs related to sustainability topics, such as:
+ Performing a limited and reasonable assurance engagement
+ Reporting standards such as ESRS’s and IFRS S1 and IFRS S2
+ Double materiality (among other topics)
Person specification
+ Professional designation (CPA, CA or equivalent qualification)
+ Fluent in English
Experience
+ Experienced manager or above
+ Experience working on sustainability engagements or other firm projects related to sustainability
+ Strong working knowledge of GTI assurance methodologies and tools
+ Experience in one or both of; CSRD, including ESRS, or ISSB Standards
+ Self- starter with the ability and confidence to execute their own projects and workload
+ Strong business writing and communication skills
+ Ability to be agile and respond in a proactive manner
+ Global mindset
+ Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player, including the ability to collaborate with other functional groups
+ Good organization and time management skills and an ability to manage multiple projects
+ Ability to work in a virtual environment across multiple time zones
Experience – Desirable
+ Previous experience of working with international stakeholders
+ Experience working on the development of the firm’s sustainability methodology
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s New York, NY office only is between $112,300 and $168,500 per year.
