Position: Nutrition Services Aide (PRN)

Clark Fork Valley Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nutrition Services Aide to provide high-quality service to our patients, residents, and cafeteria customers. If you enjoy working in the kitchen and preparing meals, we encourage you to apply! As part of our energetic team, you’ll ensure all dining needs are met with care and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following are essential duties; other tasks may be assigned as necessary:

+ Understand and effectively use the department’s communication system.

+ Read production orders and therapeutic menus for patients, residents, and the cafeteria.

+ Prepare meal trays for service.

+ Place servings in a blender to make foods for soft, liquid, or pureed diets.

+ Use portion control to meet therapeutic dietary needs.

+ Check each tray for completeness before placing it on the cart.

+ Push carts to halls or ward kitchens.

+ Serve trays to patients.

+ Wash dishes and clean the work area, including tables, cabinets, and ovens.

+ Chart temperatures and maintain dish room logs.

+ Collect and dispose of garbage and trash in designated containers.

+ Wash and peel vegetables as needed for the menu.

+ Maintain stocking and cleaning in the department.

Minimum Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
