    Statement of Purpose: The Registered Nurse maintains responsibility for the provision of professional nursing care demonstrated through the nursing process involving assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation.

     

    The Employee Health registered nurse cares for and coordinates services for UMMH Milford Regional employees in order to promote optimum physical and mental health and prevent illness and injury while working for Milford Regional.

    Qualifications:

    The position works in an ambulatory setting. Previous employee or occupational health experience is strongly desired. Office experience and computer system proficiency (MS Office esp excel) are strongly preferred.

     

    Education: Register Nurse required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

     

    Certification / License: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Massachusetts required

     

    Certification in occupational health nursing preferred

    Current CPR skills required

    Experience: Three or more years’ experience as Registered Nurse is required. One year experience in employee/occupational health preferred. Experience in employee health/occupational health/community health or ambulatory care is strongly preferred. Knowledge of case management, workers’ compensation, and government regulations and additional education appropriate to the work setting.

     

    Skills: Computer proficiency. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with all organizational levels. Demonstrated organizational skills. Ability to express ideas clearly in verbal and written forms Excellent customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidential information.
