Lead. Inspire. Play. Make a difference every day.

Are you a skilled leader with a background in teaching, child development, or human resources? Are you passionate about early childhood learning and ready to shape a supportive, engaging coaching culture? We're hiring a Operations & Coaching Director to lead our children's soccer and t-ball coaching team. You will collaborate with the Executive Director in recruitment, hiring and training, class scheduling, supervising the part-time coaching staff, on-site check-ins with school and location partners, and assist with the communication to locations and families in our system.

This is a full-time, year-round position (not seasonal or temporary), starting mid-to-late July.

At Youth Athlete United, we believe that every child is an athlete. We create fun, active learning experiences that help children grow socially, emotionally, and physically—starting as young as age one. This role is perfect for someone who brings a strong understanding of child development along with leadership and organizational strengths.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Coach Recruitment, Training & Supervision:

+ Use your HR, teaching, or child development expertise to hire, train, and support new coaches.

+ Oversee onboarding and ongoing mentorship, ensuring coaches deliver high-quality, child-centered sessions.

+ Use tools like Workable and Indeed to manage recruitment efficiently.

+ Be a trusted leader and go-to resource for a diverse team of instructors.

    Coaching:

+ This will be in a substitute capacity when necessary, but must learn and be able to facilitate and lead classes on demand.

    Scheduling & Operational Support:

+ Maintain staff scheduling app and coordinate weekly coach assignments.

+ Utilize prewritten lesson plans and instructional videos to ensure high-quality coaching, focusing on child development and fun learning experiences.

+ Oversee schedule changes and facilitate the “Swap Meet” for instructors in the Soccer Stars and Little Rookies programs to ensure seamless program coverage.

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for staff scheduling changes and sub-coordination. The coaching staff will report directly to you.

    Site Marketing:

+ Oversee marketing initiatives between seasons.

+ Proficiency in Canva is a PLUS, as many of our marketing materials are in Canva.

    Schedule & Flexibility

This is a 30-hour/week position with flexible scheduling across weekdays and some Saturday mornings during the season. While consistent availability is important, we understand the value of work-life balance and offer some flexibility in how hours are distributed.

    Requirements

We are looking for a focused individual with a good work ethic, experience meeting deadlines and a positive and open attitude toward working with a small business. Management and operational experience are a bonus. We are in the NW Austin and Pflugerville area. A large part of the job will be remote.

    Our Ideal Candidate:

+ Has experience minimum two years of experience in teaching, early childhood education, child development, coaching, and/or HR.

+ Enjoys building and mentoring teams.

    + Is detail-oriented and thrives in fast-paced, people-focused environments.

+ Is ready to lead with empathy, flexibility, and purpose.

+ Wants to make a lasting impact in both education and sports.

+ Resides in the Greater Austin area and can travel easily within Georgetown, Leander, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Spicewood, North, and South Austin.

+ Proficient in MS Office, CANVA, employee scheduling applications, and relational databases/software.

+ Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a nationwide criminal background check.

+ Owns reliable transportation with valid insurance (shared/family vehicles, ride-shares, and public transportation not acceptable).

    Benefits

+ Competitive Salary: $32,500 – $39,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

+ Health Insurance Support: Monthly bonus toward individual health insurance coverage.

    + Paid Time Off (PTO).

+ Professional Development: Sponsored training and certifications in sports instruction, child development, and first aid/CPR.

+ Free & Discounted Programming: Complimentary enrollment in programs for immediate family members and discounted rates for friends.

+ Growth Incentives: Performance-based bonuses tied to program and enrollment growth.
