Summary of Position

Jabil Austin IT Support team needs an intern to assist with general IT support, operations, and projects.

Intern Duties & Responsibilities

+ Responsible for monitoring the IT ticket queue and resolve tickets in a timely manner

+ Follow all corporate, regional, and local governance and security policies.

+ Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the department and encourage input from team members.

+ Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e., modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems, instituting automation)

+ Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; properly prioritizing issues dynamically.

+ Execute all assigned duties

Qualifications

+ Major(s): Computer Science, Information systems, or any other related majors welcome

+ Class Year(s): Sophomore, Junior, Senior, 1st Year Graduate Student

+ GPA: Min 3.0

+ Availability: Must be available to work in Austin, TX, from May 19, 2025 – Aug 8, 2025

+ Technical Skills: Exposure to reporting software and software automation techniques

+ Programming experience in Python, Mendix, PHP, or SQL

+ Effective communication skills

+ Self-starter – Ability to drive work

+ Skills: Agility, Building Trusting Relationships, Decision-Making Skills, & Resilience
