    Job Summary

    The Line Service Shift Supervisor is responsible to ensure each customer has a pleasant experience at Western Aircraft. Perform all customer requests in a timely manner with a positive & professional attitude. Oversee the daily fueling operation of the general aviation areas. Meet customer service level expectations. Hold staff accountable to ensure service levels are met. Continually strive for ways to improve service by anticipating customers’ needs.

     

    Schedule: Working evenings and weekends

     

    *position contingent on passing a Driver’s License Records Search*

    * Ability to lift 50 pounds over the head, have flexibility/availability for scheduling, enjoy working outdoors in all climates.*

    *Previous fueling experience required*

    *Previous supervisory experience preferred *

    Duties & Responsibilities

    + Timely and safely fuel various aircraft from Cessna 150’s to B-757’s

    + Safely tow aircraft from Cessna 150’s to corporate jets

    + Park and depart aircraft utilizing hand signals and assists customer with baggage and other needs

    + Conduct aviation fuel sampling and limited quality control inspections

    + Ensure direct reports fuel, tow and marshal incoming aircraft in a timely manner

    + Responsible for providing on the job training (OJT) and direction to team members

    + Ensure fuel quality control procedures are followed

    + Ensure operations are conducted in a safe manner and all safety polices are followed and enforced

    + Ensure required paperwork is accurate and completed in a timely manner

    + Perform facility clean-up (i.e., plow snow in winter)

    + Communicate with co-workers utilizing two-way radio equipment

    + Ensure each customer has a pleasant experience at Western Aircraft

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications & Job Requirements

    + Experience & Competencies:

    + Minimum one (1) years’ experience working aviation line service

    + Preference given for supervisory experience

    + Strong leadership, customer service, and interpersonal relation skills required

    + Word, Excel, Email experience preferred

    + Education:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    Other Prerequisites

    + Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

    + Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge

    + Valid Driver’s License

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    + Work is primarily performed outside of an office environment, in varying weather and times, as the duties are performed in scheduled shifts subject to providing coverage seven (7) days a week: evenings/nights, weekends, and overtime. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally. Climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling and working at heights is a requirement.
