    Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Lead Valve Technician. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service, coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!

     

    Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm plus overtime as needed

    Responsibilities

    As a Lead Valve Technician, you will be responsible for the following, including, but not limited to:

    + Responsible for assembly of all automated packages

    + Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product

    + Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center

    + Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel

    + Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages

    + Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs

    + Assist with developing automated valve sales training program

    + Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data

    + Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess the following:

    + 2 to 5 years experience

    + Basic knowledge of computers

    + Smartsheets experience strongly preferred

    + Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics

    + Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines

    + Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control

    + Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere

    + Possess a positive attitude

    + Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

    + A self-motivator and have an ambition to succeed

    + Enthusiastic, courteous, and articulate

    + Ability to learn quickly
