• Junior Engineer

    ManTech (Lexington Park, MD)


    **ManTech** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Junior Engineer** to join our team in the **Patuxent River/Lexington Park, MD** area. This is an **onsite** position.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + With supervision by more senior staff this position will apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.

    + Will participate in reviewing and preparing engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.

    + May provide entry level support in performing functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.

    + With supervision analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.

    + This position may require travel within the United States (less than 10%)

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + An Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree in a Technical or Scientific area is required

    + 0 - 3+ years of experience working in areas associated with engineering and/or systems engineering

    + Must have experience working in Microsoft products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Degrees focused on Engineering, Math, Computer or Information Science, or Physics are preferred

    + Experience collecting and analyzing Navy aviation data is highly desired

    + Experience using Navy and Government databases such as DECKPLATE, IETMS, FRACAS, etc

    + Familiarity with NATIPS and NATOPS

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must have a current and active Secret clearance.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Tasking is primarily computer based. The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC.

    + Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, Customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods
